When talking with someone who has a different worldview about God and Jesus, you simply can not come at them with the Bible and tell them how much of a sinner they are. You need to build a relationship with them by getting to know them personally by staring a friendship with many conversations of respect, understanding and an listening ear. Have them get to know you; how you live, treat others, show love, and what you believe. Once you have build a trusting, respectful relationship, then ask what they think about God and the Bible. Ask them about their religion and tell truths about God. Ask this person to read The Bible and encourage them to come back with questions for better understanding.
Some of the hindrances with this person when presenting the gospel are the different perspectives in which is believed of an ego with love. God shows is love and anger for us. Buddhist believed for this to be too attached to our emotions which is a weakness. Another hindrance is the confusion of how to get to God in so many different ways. Buddhist believe in one way to attain enlightenment when Christians have confession's, forgiveness and reconciliation through Jesus. Finally, they will be confused on what makes Jesus different from Buddha and why is Jesus s important.
My own personal challenges that I have to presenting the gospel is the confidence of thinking of the right things to say. I don't expect things to go perfectly but when I am trying to tell someone about the God or Jesus, the response usually comes with a big fiery comeback in which I don't know how to respond to. At times I think I push myself to try to be a scholar to them right there and then. Studying God's words and practicing what to say has helped me a lot with my confidence and understanding that I wont have all the answers but can guide them to a person who does or find the information out with them.
